‘Heluo Culture Bonds Hong Kong’ Exhibition

As a pivotal breeding ground of Chinese civilisation, Luoyang has accomplished outstanding achievements in art and calligraphy, astronomy and traditional crafts. Through the multi-dimensional display of six sections in this exhibition, the amazing heritage inherited from Heluo culture will be regenerated in Hong Kong. Selected cultural relics and documents from the ancient cities of Han and Wei will be displayed to recreate the glory of the ancient capital. Intangible cultural heritage from Henan including tricolour glazed ceramics, Zhuxian Town woodblock New Year paintings, Luoyang palace lamps, as well as traditional papercutting and embroidery handcrafts, will be revitalised via static display, dynamic demonstration and interactive installations. A costume-changing experience themed on Empress Wu Zetian will also be visualised to showcase the unique charm of Henan’s intangible cultural heritage.
